Depending on the units you choose to study in your Care NVQ Level 3 you can choose to care for teenagers, children and babies.

The Level 3 Diploma in Care units are constructed to highlight the knowledge and experience needed for carers to provide affective care within their work duties. The main focal point of the Care NVQ Level 3 is in providing physical and emotional care to clients, whether they are employed in the health or social care industry, or in the public, private or voluntary sectors. The Level 3 Diploma in Care is planned to be applicable to candidates who will be delivering care.

This Care NVQ Level 3 qualification can also reflect a higher level of specialisation depending on the units chosen when compared to the level 2.

The Care NVQ Level 3 units are made up of compulsory and optional units. You will need to complete a mixture of these in order to attain your Care NVQ Level 3.

What is in the Level 3 Diploma in Care?

A Care NVQ level 3 is constructed of 8 units. All candidates must complete all compulsory units, and choose an additional 4 units from a wide range of optional modules.

The Care NVQ Level 3 is aimed at Carers in a supervisory position or with a level of responsibility.

How long is a Care NVQ Level 3 course?

The Majority of learners will take anywhere between 6 and 12 months to complete the course.

How is the Care NVQ Level 3 assessed?

An NVQ Assessor will visit you at your place of work each month at a time that is suitable to you. Usually you will have an initial induction, which will be followed by 8 additional assessments.
